every body radiates sunshine on the soul
revived, alive and awash in light
moods, happy dudes who fly high
into the sky with a smile,
a song, a dance, a walk, a prance
that is bounce, pomp & circumstance
happens now and then and begins
the beginning turning to an ending
eventual moments where a snapshot is taken
of a frown - no one photographs unhappy
people moving along on a sidewalk
on a side street that smells of dumpster
funk, soul, rhythm and blues
lingering in the air above the river
flowing strong with joy and melody
and a current of footsteps
that will not stumble and fall
